Excursions

Malagasy Cooking Class
Join our chef for a hands-on cooking workshop and discover the flavors of Madagascar. You’ll learn how to prepare local dishes such as Romazava (a spicy stew of meat and greens) and Ravitoto, a delicious blend of cassava leaves, meat, and coconut. Perfect for adults and children alike, this 3-hour class is a fun and tasty way to experience Malagasy culture

Lemur Encounter
Nosy Komba means “the island of lemurs” , and you’ll soon see why! Visit the Lemur Park or simply walk through the forest to meet these friendly animals in their natural habitat. Our team will guide you and create a tailor-made itinerary for your visit.

Vanilla Plantation Visit
Take a one-hour walk through the forest to our vanilla plantation and learn how this precious spice is hand-pollinated and grown. Your guide will introduce you to the local plants and animals along the way.
After the visit, enjoy a vanilla-themed tasting back at the hotel — and take home a few pods as a souvenir.

Nosy Be & Lokobe Reserve
Just 10 minutes by speedboat from the hotel, visit Lokobe — the last primary forest on Nosy Be.
Discover rare plants, exotic flowers, and endemic birds such as the Madagascar owl and the kingfisher.
Lokobe offers both land and sea trails for a truly unique experience.

Nosy Mamoko & Kisimany Forests
Sail to Kisimany Bay, a hidden gem surrounded by century-old baobabs. Meet giant tortoises, see waterfalls, and walk through mangroves before continuing to Nosy Mamoko, where you may spot lemurs in the forest.

Learn to Fish the Malagasy Way
Join our partner Sport Fishing Adventure for a full-day fishing experience — trolling, jigging, or bottom fishing. Catch tuna, dorado, or barracuda and enjoy lunch served on board or picnic-style on the beach. Included: equipment, lunch, and guide.

Nosy Tanikely Marine Reserve
A true natural aquarium! This protected island is ideal for snorkeling among colorful fish, turtles, and coral reefs. Climb up to the lighthouse for a 360° view or explore the small forest where lemurs and fruit bats live freely. Duration: half day.

Nosy Sakatia – The Orchid Island
Known for its wild orchids and tropical forest, Nosy Sakatia is also home to sea turtles, dolphins, and whale sharks in the right season. Swim, snorkel, or hike through coffee and vanilla fields for a day of pure nature. Multi-day excursions can also be arranged.

Turtles and Whales
Depending on the season, you can spot turtles nesting on the beaches or whales swimming near the islands. Some excursions allow you to stay overnight on Nosy Iranja to watch turtle nesting under the stars.

Nosy Iranja – The Turtle Island
Two small islands linked by a 2 km sandbank — Nosy Iranja is pure paradise. Enjoy turquoise lagoons, fresh seafood, and the chance to witness turtles nesting at night. A peaceful, protected haven far from mass tourism. Duration: two days.

Russian Bay
Sail across calm waters and discover a bay rich in history and marine life. Spot manta rays, whale sharks, and — from August to October — humpback whales with their calves. A perfect destination for diving or camping overnight under the stars.
